Rahul Gandhi Reviews Congress Performance In Karnataka Lok Sabha Elections
The review meeting was attended by Congress leaders including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his deputy D K Shivakumar, who also serves as the party's state unit chief.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi conducted a comprehensive review of the party's performance in the recent Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka. The ruling Congress secured victories in nine seats, while the BJP and JD(S), part of the NDA, secured 17 and two seats respectively, out of the state's total of 28 Lok Sabha segments.
According to Congress sources, Gandhi convened a meeting with the newly elected MPs and losing candidates of the party to discuss the election outcomes.

On the meeting, party leader HK Patil said, "The message was loud and clear that we should strengthen the party..."
Those who attended the meeting were Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his deputy D K Shivakumar, who also serves as the party's state unit chief, and Congress General Secretary in-charge of Karnataka, Randeep Singh Surjewala.
Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi appeared before a special court in connection with a case filed by the BJP's Karnataka unit regarding allegedly "defamatory" advertisements in mainstream newspapers. He was subsequently granted bail.
