'No Govt Interference': Karnataka CM Reinstates Job Of Slain BJYM Leader's Wife On Humanitarian Grounds

The Karnataka CM reinstated the wife of a slain BJYM leader at her government post. CM Siddaramaiah said there was "no government interference" in the termination as her employment was temporary.

Karnataka Chier Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday reappointed Nutan Kumar, the wife of the slain Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) leader Praveen Nettaru, to her government post on 'humanitarian' grounds just a day after her termination. Nettaru was killed with sharp weapons as part of an alleged PFI agenda to strike terror and create communal hatred and unrest in the society with the aim of furthering its goal of establishing Islamic Rule in India by 2047.

The Chief Minister took to Twitter to share this news and said, "After a new government comes in, it is a natural process to dismiss the temporary employees who were appointed by the previous government from the government service. Not only Praveen Nettaru's wife but more than 150 contract workers have already been dismissed from service. There is no government interference in this. Considering this as a special case, the Nutan will be re-appointed on the basis of humanity."

Nutan Kumari, the wife of the murdered BJP Yuva Morcha leader, was offered a Group C post on a contract basis in the office of former chief minister Basavaraj Bommai. Following her request, she was given the post of an assistant in the Chief Minister's Relief Fund section of the Deputy Commissioner's office in Mangaluru.

She was terminated from her state government job as the government ordered to cancel all the recruitments carried out on a contract basis by the previous regime. With the BJP condemning the decision, Congress has clarified its move saying she was one among those whose job had been terminated in the natural course as she was taken on a contract basis for the tenure of the BJP regime in the state, reported ANI.

BJP in a tweet said, "Due to the communal hatred of PFI, a terrorist organisation nurtured by the Congress party has removed the wife of Praveen Nettaru from service. Our government had provided the job of DC of Mangalore to the wife of Praveen Nettaru, who was killed by the PFI goons. It is condemnable."

Praveen Nettaru's murder, which happened on July 26 of last year in the Bellare village of Sullia Taluk in the Dakshina Kannada district, shook the state. The NIA filed its initial chargesheet on January 20. The PFI had allegedly established covert "hit squads," "Service Teams," or "Killer Squads" to kill its "perceived enemies" and targets, according to the NIA.
