Bengaluru: Doctor Murdered By Fiancee For Allegedly Uploading Her Private Pictures Online, Accused Held

It was revealed that Pratibha along with her friends beat up Vikas, after knowing that he had shared her private images on the internet

In a shocking case, Dr Vikas Rajan, a doctor Bengaluru died days after being assaulted by his fiancee, Pratibha, and her friends. Bengaluru police on Monday arrested 27-year-old Pratibha and her two male friends for murdering her live-in partner Dr Vikas for uploading her private pictures online. One of the accused is still absconding said the police.

It was revealed that Pratibha along with her friends beat up Vikas, after knowing that he had shared her private images on the internet. He slipped into coma after being admitted to hospital. Days after he went into coma, Dr Vikas succumbed to the injuries he suffered.

Vikas was working at a private hospital in Bengaluru. After he pursued his MBBS in Ukraine, he came to India and worked in Chennai before moving to Bengaluru to do a certified course.

Vikas was fatally attacked on September 10 and he succumbed on September 18 at a private hospital. The incident took place in the limits of Begur police station of Bengaluru. According to police, Dr Vikas and accused Pratibha hailed from Chennai. Pratibha worked as an architect. They got introduced to each other through social media two years ago.

They fell in love and announced it to their families. After getting the consent, they fixed their marriage for next year in February. Both Vikas and Pratibha started living together in Bengaluru. During this time, Vikas allegedly made private videos of his fiancee Pratibha. He had recorded her mother's videos also.

Later, he opened a fake account on social media and published private videos, which had gone viral. Police said that both Vikas and Pratibha's families fought over the issue. Pratibha was hurt by the development and shared it with her other accused friends.

Susheel invited Dr Vikas to his home on September 10 and when he came, the accused assaulted him with a mop stick and other weapons, police said. Further investigation was on.
