State's fight is with malnutrition, not naxals: Chhattisgarh CM

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], November 10 (ANI): Calling attention to the increasing problem of malnutrition in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Raman Singh on Friday said the state's fight was not with the naxals, but with malnutrition.

To this end, the state has kicked off 'Suposhan' (good nutrition) Mission Campaign.

Speaking at the campaign launch, the chief minister said, "To eradicate malnutrition from the state, departmental officers will be given a time of three years. Our fight and our aim is not naxals, but malnutrition."

Singh added that the state would work on a war footing to combat the problem.

The event was organised under the department of Women and Child Development, and was attended by the department minister, Ramshila Sahu, and Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand, among others. (ANI)
