Srinagar: Attempt to loot ATM foiled by locals

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Aug 11 (ANI): An attempt to loot a Jammu and Kashmir ATM in Srinagar's Somerbugh was foiled by alert locals on Friday.

As per reports, the locals chased three armed youth who attempted to loot the ATM, following which all the three people escaped.

Earlier on July 31, a group of terrorists looted the Jammu and Kashmir Bank at Arwani Bijbehara in Anantnag district.

As per reports, the terrorists managed to took away cash more than Rs. 5 lakh cash.

On July 11, the Shopian Police arrested three accused involved in the attempt of bank robbery and weapon snatching that took place at Jammu and Kashmir Bank of Imam Sahab area. (ANI)
