'Sarvjanik Bhojnalay' inspired me to provide cereals at Rs. 1: CM Shivraj

Vidisha (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Sept. 3 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday said that he got inspiration to start 'Deendayal Rasoi' for the poor from the Madhya Pradesh's Sarvajanik Bhojnalaya Seva Samiti.

"I got idea to give cereals at Re 1 from Bhojnalay. After this I started Deendayal Rasoi for people where food is at Rs 5. 2017," Chouhan said while attending the 35th foundation day of Sarvajanik Bhojnalaya Seva Samiti.

He honoured the founder of the Bhojnalaya and said appreciated his selfless service for the people.

Chouhan said that 2017 has been 'Garib Kalyan Varsh' and the state government will further try to promote this initiative.

Chef Sanjeev Kapoor also attended the event as a chief guest. Chouhan also asked Kapoor to popularise dishes of Madhya Pradesh through his TV shows.

"I personally believe that nothing is greater than serving food to the poor," he said. (ANI)
