Russian Girl Arrested For 'Masterminding' Blue Whale Suicide Game

The Blue Whale game or Blue Whale Challenge is believed to be a suicide game wherein a group of administrators give a participant a task to complete daily — for a period of 50 days. The final task of the participant is to commit suicide. Participants need to share photos of every challenge/task completed by them in the span. Representational Picture AFP.

In the raid at her residence, the police discovered drawings and a portrait of the founder of the challenge, 22-year-old Philipp Budeikin. He is currently in jail. The game has spread to India where a couple of teenage deaths are linked to it. Representational Picture AFP
