Ram Rahim 'ji' for Haryana CM Khattar

Commenting on the situation that erupted in Haryana as an aftermath of Ram Rahim’s conviction CM Khattar said that “proceedings done by the government are satisfactory”

After Supreme Court’s verdict on Ram Rahim case, he was convicted in the dual rape case and immediately after the verdict was out, the state of Haryana saw immense violence; where more than 38 people died in Panchkula while several others were injured.

The victim said that Ram Rahim told her that she had become 'apavitar' (unholy) because of her past deeds and that he was going to purify her. The Dera chief, who was watching a porn film when the victim entered his room, even had a pistol on the bed to intimidate her. After committing the rape, he warned her against relating the incident to anyone, failing which she and her family would be eliminated.

A team of 5 doctors was rushed to the District Jail in Sunaria near Rohtak town in Haryana on Saturday after rapist Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, the chief of Dera Sacha Sauda sect, complained of ill health.
