Opposition instigates people, but we'll convert crisis into opportunity: Chandrababu Naidu

Amravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], July 12 (ANI): Criticising the opposition in the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly for instigating, inciting and encouraging their supporters to be disruptive, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has said that each and every crisis created by the latter will be converted into an opportunity by his government for the general public.

"Fortunately or unfortunately, we have got a very bad opposition. They never support us and they stall projects and development through the court and litigation," Naidu told ANI in an exclusive interview.

"They (Opposition) try their best to instigate people. And it's a rare opportunity for a state leader to convert a crisis into an opportunity. I am going to prove it soon," he added.

The statement came even as Naidu talked about his government's plans about developing Amravati as a world class city and of the benefits of the land pooling scheme which is expected to give a major boost to infrastructure projects.

"We have got Rs. 2,500 crore and will get more amount, approximately Rs. 1,000 crore, soon for transforming Amravati into a world class global city. I developed Hyderabad with passion. I focused and developed it with transparency. I have sentiment for it, but people have given me more responsibility, and God has blessed me to develop one more city. Now, I am going to develop Amravati as a green capital city, and naturally, it will be a better city. It will be the best in the world," Naidu said.

On the land pooling scheme, he said, "In the land pooling policy, the farmers are the ultimate gainers in the system. This has never happened in the history of India or even in any democratic country. Many global education institutions, international hotels, IT companies and world class infrastructure are coming here in Amravati now. I am trying my best to develop infrastructure to strengthen the economy. Once developed, you would see it among top five global cities." (ANI)
