Onus of creating 'a new India' lies with the youth: Amit Shah
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Aug 20 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah on Sunday said that the responsibility of creating a New India lies on the shoulders of the youth of the nation.
"The onus of creating a New India lies on the shoulders of the youth of India," Shah said, while addressing the Medhavi Chhatra Sammelan here.
Shah further said that youth earlier sought jobs and through 'Stand-Up' and 'Startup' programmes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the job-seeking youth has now become a job-creator.
Further stressing on the same, Shah said that by 'New India', the prime minister means to provide proper irrigation facility, 24*7 electricity, better health facility and right to education for every child in India.
"It was under Prime Minister Modi's guidance that India became one of the fastest growing economies in the world," he asserted.
He also hailed Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for his effort for the development taking place in the state.
Earlier in the day, Shah visited a a war memorial and paid tribute to soldiers who laid their lives for the nation.
Shah and Chief Minister Chouhan also had lunch at a villager's house in Bhopal's Sewania. (ANI)
