Lawyer accused of killing youth in road rage sent to police remand

New Delhi [India] , Sept 21 (ANI): The accused 'drunk lawyer', who was involved in a road rage incident that killed a 21-year old student, has been sent to one-day Police remand.

The incident happened near AIIMS Trauma Centre in south Delhi on Sunday.

The lawyer, Rohit Krishna Mahanta allegedly rammed his car into the bike of two people who had objected to his smoking near them.

One of the two riders, Gurpreet Singh went into a coma after the accident and was declared dead on Wednesday.

The Police began probe into the matter to determine whether it was a case of accident or the accused deliberately hit the student and his friend. (ANI)
