India's first National Park for differently abled people inaugurated in Hyderabad
Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Jan.06 (ANI) The state government on Friday inaugurated country's first National Park for people with special needs.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K.T. Rama Rao inaugurated the park, which has speech therapist, physiotherapist, vocational training instructors for the differently-abled children.
"This is the first such park in India. I hope this becomes a model for other states," Rao said on the occasion.
"The park will benefit those differently-abled children, who want to move forward and thrive in life," Rao further said.
He also said an IT park on similar lines was coming up in the state.
Hyderabad MP and All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen leader Asaduddin Owaisi, who was also present on the occasion, thanked local authorities for the initiative and said K.C. Rao-led Telangana government would continue to work for the needs and development of differently-abled people. (ANI)
