Impose Governor Rule in Kashmir: NPP
New Delhi [India], November 2 (ANI): National People's Party leader Bhim Singh on Thursday asserted that imposing Governor Rule was the only solution to restore normalcy in Kashmir.
"Go for Governor Rule in Kashmir, that is the solution," Singh said.
The NPP leader's statement came after Jammu and Kashmir interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma said that there can be no solution to Kashmir under the shadow of the gun.
"This is what Gandhiji said as well and is a well-known established principle to attain world peace, international consolidation and cooperation," Bhim Singh told ANI.
Singh also questioned as to what the government in Kashmir was doing to improve the situation.
"They are just sitting silent. Government of India has created a government in Jammu and Kashmir, which does not function, and has no acceptance in democracy," Singh said.
The newly appointed J-K interlocutor on Wednesday said he was positive about talks with all stakeholders over the Kashmir issue, even as Hurriyat Conference, one of the stakeholders, rejected dialogue on the same.
"I will go to Kashmir and see who all will come for talks. I am still very positive about the talks," Sharma told ANI.
Sharma also said that he will conduct talks with the youth and assured that "peace will turn in Kashmir very soon". (ANI)
