Gurugram school bus attack: Khattar meets victims

Gurugram (Haryana) [India], Feb 2 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday visited GD Goenka Public school in Gurugram, whose bus was attacked during the controversial movie 'Padmaavat' protests.

The Chief Minister met with the children who were present in the bus at the time of attack and assured them that those involved in the attack will be punished and will not be spared.

Talking to the media, Khattar said, "We wanted to meet the children who showed such courage. People can have different viewpoints than government and can say it in democratic manner but we won't allow anyone to hurt kids. Those involved in this incident will be punished and not be spared."

A bus of GD Goenka public school was attacked during Padmavaat protests on January 24.

On January 24, a school bus was attacked by a group of men, who were protesting against the release of the film in Haryana's Gurugram. The protesters threw stones at the bus, which was carrying students, teachers and other staff members of Gurugram's GD Goenka World School. The protesters also torched a state bus in Gurugram.
