Congress standing at 'exit gate' in K'taka: PM Modi

Bengaluru (Karnataka), Feb. 04 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that the Congress' countdown has begun, and it would soon be shown the "exit door" in Karnataka.

"Your enthusiasm shows that the countdown of Congress to make an exit has begun. Congress is standing at the exit gate in Karnataka. It has caused destruction here and Karnataka does not need a Congress culture," he said while addressing an election rally in Bengaluru.

In a veiled attack at the Siddaramaih-led Karnataka government, the Prime Minister said people of the state have not received the benefits of Centre's funds.

"Can you see the funds provided by the centre utilised properly in Karnataka? Can you see the benefits of funds provided by the centre to Karnataka?" he asked the attendees.

He further trained guns at the Congress over agrarian issues and said during its regime, farmers have had to face a lot of trouble.

The legislative assembly election in Karnataka will be held in April-May this year to elect members of the 224 constituencies in the state.

Currently, Siddaramaih-led Congress government is in the power in the state. (ANI)
