CM Parrikar wishes people on 50th Goa Liberation Day

Panaji (Goa) [India], Dec 19 (ANI): On the occasion of 50th Goa Liberation Day, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has extended his greetings and best wishes to people of the state.

"I extend my greetings to the people of Goa on the occasion of our 56th Liberation Day," reads an official note.

In the Monday's note, Parrikar lauded the freedom fighters who had helped in the liberation of Goa.

"On this memorable day, let us recall the valiant efforts of our freedom fighters who fought against oppression, and the remarkable role played by the Indian Army in liberating Goa from Portuguese rule,"it added. (ANI)
