Hyderabad (Telangana) [India] October 12 (ANI): A case has been against controversial writer Kancha Ilaiah on a court referred complaint regarding his book 'Samajika Smugglurlu Komatollu'.
The book's title means 'Vysyas are social smugglers'.
Station House Officer (SHO) of Malkajgiri Police Station informed this to media on Wednesday.
A case under Sections 153A (a), 153B (a), 295-A, and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Section 3 of SC/ST (POA) Act-1989 has been registered against Ilaiah.
Earlier, speaking against the Arya Vysya community, Ilaiah had said since he had written facts about them, they were threatening him.
He said that such threats will not stop him from writing and expressing his views.
He did not even spare Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah.
"If they have the courage, they should go to the border and do yoga where Chinese Army are camping. It is the soldier from weaker sections who is keeping the border safe and not the upper castes," he claimed.
Ilaiah had said that the state will be free from upper caste run-educational institutions like Narayana and Sri Chaitanya in next five years and held business communities responsible for farmers' suicides.
He further insulted the Scheduled Castes (SC) people also and intended to outrage religious feeling. (ANI)
