AAI holds vigilance workshop at Tirupati Airport

New Delhi [India], Nov.2 (ANI): A workshop was organised by corporate vigilance department of the Airports Authority of India at Tirupati Airport on the topic "Preventive Vigilance as a tool of Good Governance" from 26th to 27th October, 2017.

Around 50 executives and non-executives from Tirupati, Cuddapah, Salem, RHQ, SR, Chennai and Chennai Airport participated in the workshop.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. C. L. Ramakrishnan, IPS (Retd.), Ex-DGP and Former Director of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Tamil Nadu and Management Consultant.

The workshop covered various aspects of vigilance and disciplinary matters.

Dr. Ramakrishnan spoke on "Organisational Ethics and Basic Values in Life", Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, Role of CVC, CBI and Vigilance Department of Organization."

The presentations during the workshop included vigilance case studies, Airports Authority of India Employees (CD&A), Regulations, 2003 and Dealing with Commercial Contract.

S.N. Borkar, General Manager (Vigilance) addressed the gathering on the objectives of workshop.

Various issues related to preventive vigilance were intensely discussed and deliberated. (ANI)
