Wordle Answer Today (July 10): Feeling Jumpy? Today’s Puzzle Had Players On Edge. Here Are Hints & Solution

Wordle asks players to guess a five-letter word in six attempts, turned into a guessing gauntlet as the clues failed to click for many.

Wordle Answer Today: If Thursday's Wordle had you second-guessing your entire strategy, you're not alone. Puzzle #1482, released on July 10, left many players scratching their heads, particularly those trying to hold on to long-running streaks. And while Wordle is often described as deceptively simple, today's challenge truly tested that description.

The game, which asks players to guess a five-letter word in six attempts, turned into a guessing gauntlet as the clues failed to click for many. Unlike some days when players quickly spot patterns, Thursday’s solution kept its cards close to its chest.

Wordle Hints That Helped – Or Didn’t

For those struggling, a few clues were made available. The first was thematic: players were advised to "find another way to describe feeling anxious or nervous." That wasn’t much to go on for many, as dozens of such adjectives could apply.

Additional tips included:

  • The word begins with J
  • Ends with Y
  • Has only one vowel
  • No repeating letters
  • Typing "opium" turns three letters yellow

Even with those leads, players found themselves hitting dead ends, thanks to the word’s elusive nature and unusual structure. Only five unique letters made up the answer, further complicating things for those relying on vowel-heavy first attempts.

And the word that had so many stumped? JUMPY.

Players who finally arrived at the answer likely experienced a mix of relief and irony, given that “jumpy” perfectly described the emotional state the puzzle induced. According to the game’s definition, “If someone is 'jumpy', it means they're on edge, nervous, not feeling at ease.” A fitting reward for those who powered through.

If you got it right — well played. If not, there’s always tomorrow’s challenge. Just try not to get too... jumpy.
