PS5 Console Covers Tipped To Arrive In India Soon, Exclusively On Amazon: Expected Price

The PS5 has so far been only available in blink-and-miss restocks in India.

PlayStation 5 console covers, the cosmetic accessories designed to add a splash of colour to your PS5, may soon make their way to India. As per a known tipster, Sony has imported “very small quantities” of the PS5 faceplates to India. The tip was later confirmed by gaming writer and industry insider Rishi Alwani who said that the PS5 covers will be exclusively available via Amazon, hinting at the price. PlayStation 5 was launched globally in November 2020, but there has been an acute shortage of consoles owing to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the global chip shortage. Since its release, the PS5 has only been available in blink-and-miss restocks in India via e-commerce outlets as well as traditional stores.

PS5 Console Covers colour options

PS5 Console Covers, come in five colour options — Galactic Purple, Midnight Black, Starlight Blue, Cosmic Red, and Nova Pink. 

The official Sony variants were so far unavailable in India and customers had to make do with third-party covers. Now, as per tipster @PS5India, Sony has imported limited quantities of the Console Covers to India. This tipster has so far been very accurate in all its PS5 leaks thus far, so it can be expected that the official PS5 Console Covers should be available in India soon.

PS5 Console Covers price in India, availability (expected)

The PlayStation 5 Console Covers are priced at $54.99 in the US. As per gaming writer and industry insider Rishi Alwani, the PS5 covers will be exclusively available via Amazon. Alwani also added that PS5 Console Covers will be priced at Rs 3,999. No date of availability was mentioned.

It should be noted that at the time of writing, PS5 Console Covers were yet unavailable on Amazon. Sony also hasn’t made any official announcement on their availability in India so far. So, this report should be considered with a pinch of salt.
