PS Plus Free Games For July Lineup Is A Winner: Cyberpunk 2077, Abiotic Factor, More

PS Plus's free games lineup might have been lacklustre for some in the previous months. But the July lineup makes up for all of it.

PS Plus Free Games: PlayStation Plus is dialling it up to eleven this July, with a sizzling new set of titles spanning neon-lit action, supernatural drama, zoo-building simulation, and nostalgia-fueled vehicular mayhem. As part of its 15th anniversary celebrations, PlayStation is rolling out Cyberpunk 2077, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, and the brand-new Abiotic Factor, among other additions to its Game Catalog for Extra and Premium subscribers.

Neon Nights and Supernatural Fights

Leading the charge is Cyberpunk 2077, the acclaimed open-world RPG from CD Projekt Red, available to download right now. Set in the chaotic sprawl of Night City, players step into the cybernetic boots of V, a mercenary chasing the key to immortality. Customisation, consequence-driven storytelling, and atmospheric worldbuilding define the game’s experience.

Joining later on July 22 is Abiotic Factor, a quirky sci-fi survival adventure that throws up to six scientists into a research facility overrun by extra-dimensional threats. Expect crafting, co-op chaos, and a healthy dose of 90s-inspired weirdness.

Also arriving on July 15 is Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, an emotional action-RPG set in 1695 North America. As ghost-hunters and lovers, Antea and Red, players navigate heartbreak and haunted lands in search of redemption. "How much will you compromise your ghost-hunting vow for the sake of your lover who’s become a spirit herself?" the developers ask.

Games for Builders, Brawlers, and Banana Republic Rulers

The mid-July drop also features a mix of creative and competitive titles:

  • Planet Zoo offers a deep management sim experience with realistic animal behaviour and conservation themes.
  • Bluey: The Videogame brings family-friendly charm and adventures from the beloved animated series.
  • Risk of Rain 2 ramps up the action with rogue-like combat and co-op chaos.
  • Tropico 6 lets players don the crown of El Presidente and run their own island nation, dictator style.

Twisted Metal Nostalgia for Premium Players

Old-school chaos returns with Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4, exclusively for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers. Both classic titles arrive July 15, newly enhanced with modern features like rewind, up-rendering, and custom filters.

These vehicular combat games promise explosive action and a trip down memory lane for longtime fans.

Special Discounts Sweeten the Deal

To mark its 15th anniversary, PlayStation Plus is also offering a 30% discount on Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty — available exclusively for members until July 23.

With a blend of blockbusters, indie gems, and classic favourites, July’s lineup proves that PlayStation Plus is pulling out all the stops this summer.
