NYT Strands Answers For May 10: How To Play, Today’s Words, Spanagram, Everything Else You Need To Know
NYT Strands Answer: Strands is a fun word puzzle that will let you test your lexicon. Here's a handy guide on how to play as well as today's answers.
Tired of playing the same old Wordle? Well, the New York Times (NYT) has come up with a brand new word-based puzzle to test your lexicon. The new Strands game is slightly challenging as you don’t have to figure out a single word through a set number of trials. Instead, you are required to identify a total of six to eight words from a jumbled array of letters, all based on a single and straightforward theme. The overall experience that you can expect from the game is a casual one, thanks to NYT’s user-friendly design, but expect your little grey cells to be challenged to the fullest.
NYT Strands: Where To Access
Edited by Tracy Bennett, the same curator behind Wordle, a new game of Strands can be accessed every day on the Games section of the NYT website.
NYT Strands: How To Play
You start with a 6x8 grid of 54 letters. What you need to do is select a chain of letters you think makes a word.
Now, these words aren’t random, each of them is based on a daily theme. This theme will be shown in a box dubbed Today’s Theme on the left-hand side of the screen.
Based on that theme, you need to identify six to eight words every day.
Now, there is a fun element called Spangram. This is a hidden theme that only reveals itself when you find all six words.
Why Spanagram, you ask? Well, the word spans the entirety of the grid. Add ‘span’ to ‘anagram’, and et voilà! You get Spanagram.
