GTA 6 Release: Anticipation & Excitement Still Driving Fans As The Waiting For Fall Of 2025 Continues

GTA 6 will exclusively be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at first. Coming to PC gamers, they might have to wait an year.

GTA 6: GTA 6 or Grand Theft Auto 6's excitement in the gaming community is still high despite it being a year since Rockstar Games last gave out any official information about how the game will look like. Rockstar Games released the first trailer for GTA 6, also stylised as GTA VI, last year in September and since then gaming enthusiasts have been dying to see another visual of the upcoming game but there hasn't been any.

The buzz around GTA 6 shows no signs of slowing down, as fans eagerly await updates on one of the most anticipated games ever. During an earnings call in November, Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, reaffirmed that GTA 6 is on schedule for a launch in the fall of 2025. This news has only added to the excitement among fans as they count down to the release of the game.

GTA 6 Platforms

At first, GTA 6 will be released exclusively on consoles, i.e., on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, marking a shift to current-gen exclusivity. No versions for PS4 or Xbox One are planned.

While PC gamers may face a longer wait, a release on that platform is anticipated in 2026.

GTA 6 Map

The new installment in the GTA series will let the players go wild in the fictional city of Leonida, which is largely inspired by Florida’s Everglades and Keys regions. Series veterans will be delighted to find the Vice City, the map where Tommy Vercetti's escapades were set in, will be a part of the larger Leonida map.

From the first trailer, it's pretty clear that GTA 6 will bring a sprawling sandbox of a city filled with crowded beaches, neon-lit city streets, as well as croc-infested backwater regions for players to go crazy in.
