God Of War Ragnarok New Story Trailer Offers Glimpses Of New Challenges, Epic Showdown With Thor
Sony has also announced a limited-edition DualSense controller to celebrate God of War Ragnarok.
God of War Ragnarok, the much-awaited sequel to the 2018’s critically acclaimed series reboot titled God of War, is set to release on November 9. Developer Santa Monica Studio has dropped a new story trailer for the upcoming game, teasing even more epic brawls with legendary Norse characters, from Valkyries to the God of Thunder himself, Thor. Alongside, PlayStation maker Sony also teased new variant of the PS5’s DualSense controller, themed after God of War Ragnarok and marked by special insignias.
God of War Ragnarok story trailer reveals
The latest trailer of God of War Ragnarok offers glimpses into the upcoming game’s story, showing a visibly grown Atreus, as he questions the strength of his father, Kratos, as the duo traverses across the nine realms to prevent the great calamitous event that is Ragnarok.
The trailer offers more glimpses of the Norse God of War Tyr, as well as brawls with menacing demons including the legendary Valkyries. We also get a glimpse of Kratos’ new traversal ability thanks to his chained Blades of Chaos, which will allow him to swing across platforms — much like Uncharted 4’s grappling hook.
The action-packed trailer ends with the promise of an epic showdown with Thor.
God of War is set to release on November 9 on the PS5 and the PS4. The game is already available for pre-orders on the PlayStation Store as well as e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, GameLoot, and others.
New God of War Ragnarok-themed DualSense announced
To cash in on the popularity of the upcoming game, Sony has also announced a limited edition DualSense controller, which is marked by a two-tone cool blue on icy white colourway. The central touchpad carries a special bear and wolf insignia, representing none other than Kratos and Atreus.
The new DualSense controller will be available starting November 9, with pre-orders starting September 27.
