New Delhi: Call of Duty: Vanguard, the latest entry into Activision’s popular first-person shooter series, has now opened free multiplayer access for a week, starting today, May 18. Until May 24, players will have access to all the maps and modes in Vanguard Multiplayer, including a new map, along with the Arms Race mode and Ship Haus playlist. This is not the first time a Call of Duty game has made its multiplayer mode free, and it offers gamers a chance to try out the title before deciding to purchase it.

Call of Duty: Vanguard: When does multiplayer access become free?

As per publisher Activision, Call of Duty: Vanguard will offer free multiplayer access starting May 18 at 10am PT (10:30pm IST). The free access will last until May 24, 9am PT (9:30pm IST).

Call of Duty: Vanguard — Mayhem map details

While all the maps and modes will be accessible to players during the free trial period, a new Mayhem map will also be rolled out to everyone. A spin on old-school Hollywood monster movies, Mayhem will let you take out enemies in a 1950s movie set. Since all the skyscrapers are tiny, you are sure to feel like a mammoth monster stomping through the map. However, you will also have to be alert as the map appears to have tight corners and even tighter passageways. So, fast reflexes are a must.

Call of Duty: Vanguard — Arms Race mode

First introduced in the second season, the Arms Race mode has a simple goal: capture all bases to win. You can use vehicles to scoot between bases, and captured bases will let players respawn at the location.
