Stitch Returns, Chaos Ensues: Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 4 Drops On THIS Date

Stitch breaks free as chaos unfolds in Call of Duty Season 4, dropping May 29 with major updates.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are set to drop their explosive Season 4 update on May 29, and fans of high-octane espionage and undead showdowns have a lot to look forward to. The surprise twist? Fan-favourite villain Vikhor “Stitch” Kuzmin is back in action, thanks to a daring prison break orchestrated by none other than Russell Adler and his team. Turns out, Adler never killed Stitch — just stashed him in an Icelandic black site for the right moment.

Now that moment has come, bringing with it a packed Season 4 loaded with new maps, gameplay modes, weapons, Zombies content, and Warzone updates.

Multiplayer Gets Icy and Intense

Multiplayer fans will plunge into chaos across multiple new environments. Two 6v6 maps debut at launch: Shutdown, set around a hydroelectric dam in Iceland where players fight through rugged terrain and flooded zones, and Fugitive, where the jailbreak takes place inside a frozen black site prison. Two Strike maps — Blitz, set beneath an ambushed bridge, and Eclipse, a neon-lit underground nightclub — keep the action frenetic, with Eclipse arriving mid-season.

A classic also returns with Fringe, reimagined from Black Ops 3 and now set in a distillery. It joins the roster mid-season.

Season 4 also spices things up with new multiplayer modes. Team Elimination tweaks Kill Confirmed by adding limited lives and tactical dog tag pickups, while One in the Chamber brings back a nostalgic challenge — one bullet, three lives. Later in the season, Party Ops will mix things up with randomised minigames.

Zombies Mode Just Got Meaner (And Weirder)

Zombies mode fans rejoice — Grief is back. This competitive 4v4 mode pits players indirectly against each other while facing the undead horde. S.A.M. and Director Richtofen each command a team, guiding them through chaos and modifiers like reduced ammo, slower movement, and capture zones.

Also launching are new tools of zombie destruction: the Shatter Blast ammo mod adds armour-piercing explosions, while three new GobbleGums — Explosive Flourish, Flavor Hex, and the sparkly Rainburps — add wild and whimsical effects. And yes, the Grim Reaper launcher is available both as a support weapon and a deadly Scorestreak.

“There’s a lot of story and surprises packed into this update. Fans of the Black Ops universe will want to pay attention,” Activision teased in a developer note.

Warzone Gets A Vertical Boost

Warzone players won’t be left behind either. A towering new Point of Interest, The Overlook, takes over Downtown with vertical battles from the demolished Burger Town base up to a penthouse rooftop. Players can zipline their way to sniping spots or crash through checkpoints with heavy firepower.

Two Limited-Time Modes keep things spicy: Clash (52v52 with instant loadouts and custom upgrades) and Havoc Royale (Resurgence mode with chaotic modifiers). A more relaxed Resurgence Casual mode blends bots with human players for chill sessions or training runs.

Loadouts also get a boost mid-season, with a Care Package drop and a new Loot Master perk increasing high-tier gear spawns.

Battle Pass, Weapons & Ranked Rewards

Season 4 introduces a powerful lineup of unlockables via the Battle Pass — including the LC10 SMG, FFAR 1 Assault Rifle, and the Essex Model 07 Marksman Rifle. Players can also look forward to special weapon variants like the Olympia and a new melee Pickaxe.

Attachment fans will appreciate new options like the G-Grip Tactical Foregrip, plus conversion kits for pistols, sniper rifles, and marksman weapons.

Ranked Play returns in full force for both multiplayer and Warzone, with seasonal rewards on the line. Mid-season will also bring Ranked Play: Resurgence to the mix.

The in-game Store is getting flashier too, with cel-shaded and mythologically themed bundles including Tracer Pack: Ink and Smoke, Olympus Bolt, and System Breach.

Season 4 launches on May 29 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Whether you're planning your prison break, staging a rooftop war, or just looking to chew rainbow-flavoured zombies, Call of Duty’s latest update is ready to drop you into the madness.
