Fact Check: Staged Video Of Muslim Man 'Threatening To Suspend Cop' Is Viral
A viral video claiming a Muslim man threatened a police officer is fake. Deepak Sharma, a content creator known for scripted videos, created it.

The Verdict [False]
The video is scripted and uploaded by Deepak Sharma, a digital creator known for his scripted content.
What is the claim?
A video showing a man wearing a skullcap arguing with a police officer has gone viral on social media, accompanied by claims that a man named Salim threatened the officer. In the video, the man asserts he can have the officer suspended within two hours. The officer is then seen dismissing him from the police station.
The video was shared on Facebook with a Hindi caption that translates to: "Salim threatened the police. Look at their mentality. This is how they speak to a policeman. These Madrasa people should be arrested."
An X (formerly Twitter) user also posted the video with the same caption, and the post garnered over 556,500 views. While the user acknowledged doubts about the video’s authenticity and called for action if it proved fake, the post has not been deleted or edited. The user has also engaged with several disparaging comments.
However, the video is not a recording of a real incident. It was created by Deepak Sharma, a digital content creator known for producing scripted videos.
