New Delhi: January 2023 is already ringing bells and it's time we look back at the best content that was delivered this year. Now for those whose plans are to curl up under a blanket with some snacks and hot drinks and watch movies, here are some content recommendations.

As we look back on the year, here is a list of movies and web series that dominated OTT platforms and now.

Love Hostel

A brilliantly crafted thrilling film. A story like ‘Love Hostel’ is what Indian cinema needs when it comes to levelling up to audiences' demands. It takes courage to present the reality and devastation caused by honor killing, which occurs. Without making the film a fairy tale, it demonstrates the reality of today’s time. Both the lead actors Vikrant Massey and Sanya Malhotra have done a great job with their performances as they have added life to their characters.

Jalsa

‘Jalsa’  is simply brilliant and mind-blowing. While story and concept were thoughtful and authentic with a thought-provoking plot. Shefali Shah and Vidya Balan have done a great job in delivering their roles as their true portrayal kept us hooked throughout.

Monica Oh My Darling

A must-watch rollercoaster ride to watch! Movies are all about entertainment, and this one delivers in spades. The plot is gripping and engaging. The characters all appear one thing from the outside but conceal something else on the inside! That is the beauty of how the writer has etched them out. The plot is original, and the script is tight. The dialogues are genuine, and we can identify and relate to the lingo.

Darlings

‘Darlings’ is an extraordinary story about a quirky mother-daughter duo figuring out crazy circumstances while attempting to find their place in the world. The movie stars Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew. The dark comedy is set in a lower-middle-class area in Mumbai and centres on the lives of two women who find strength and love under unusual circumstances. Darlings ended up being the largest hit OTT has seen this year, and the audience was deeply touched by every element of the movie.

Panchayat 2

Established in the countryside,  TVF’s ‘Panchayat’ Season 2 is the real McCoy of shows set in rural settlements. As much as fans enjoyed the first season, the second season levelled up to the audience’s expectations and gave us one of the most groundbreaking shows.
