Will Nysa Devgan Be The Next Star Kid In Bollywood? Here's What Kajol Said

Kajol, who is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Maa, opened up in a recent interview about whether her daughter Nysa Devgan might follow in her footsteps.

Bollywood icon Raveena Tandon mesmerised audiences through the 90s with her blockbuster films, and now her daughter Rasha Thadani is stepping into the spotlight, continuing her mother’s legacy. Meanwhile, Kajol, who is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Maa, opened up in a recent interview with Filmygyan about whether her daughter Nysa Devgan might follow in her footsteps.

Kajol on Nysa Carrying Forward Her Legacy

When asked if Nysa plans to take her legacy forward just as Rasha is doing for her mother Raveena, Kajol responded, "No, I don't think she will. She is not interested in movies. I love all the kids in my family and I would want them to do exactly what gives them happiness and whatever they feel they'll succeed in."

Kajol also shared that her children haven’t yet watched her latest film Maa and revealed how they react to her emotional scenes. She said, "Mere bacchon ko meri picture pasand nahi aati kyunki mujhe rona dhona padta hai usmein aur unhe pasand nahi aapni maa ko screen pe rote hue dekhke. Nysa aur Yug bahut sehme sehme ho jaate hain mujhe rote hue dekh ke. Maine bola hai fake hai par samajhte nahi hain" (My kids don’t like my films because I have to cry in them, and they don’t like seeing their mother cry on screen. Nysa and Yug get quite shaken up when they see me crying. I’ve told them it’s fake, but they don’t understand).

Rasha Thadani’s Bollywood Debut

For those unfamiliar, Rasha Thadani recently made her Bollywood debut opposite Ajay Devgn’s nephew Aaman Devgan in the film Azad, which also featured Ajay himself. Although the film did not fare well at the box office, Rasha’s performance, especially her dance to the song Uyi Amma, received praise and brought her into the limelight.

Kajol’s Upcoming Film Maa

Kajol is now gearing up for the release of her next project, Maa. Directed by Vishal Furia, this mythological horror drama stars Kajol alongside Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, and Kherin Sharma.

Set in the fictional village of Chandrapur, the film tells the story of a mother and her daughter who travel to the husband’s ancestral home after his mysterious death, only to confront a terrifying demonic curse that puts their lives in danger. Maa is slated to hit theatres on June 27.
