Recently, Mishra uploaded a video on social media full of filthy language and open rape threats to a female stand up comedian Agrima Joshua. In the video, he could be heard threatening Joshua of rape for her ‘jokes’ on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Why Was Agrima Joshu On Target?
Recently, the female comedian had invited a huge social media fury for her ‘jokes’ on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his upcoming statue in the Arabian Sea. Her stand-up video within no time went viral on social media inviting massive trolling and aggression against her. She was accused of hurting the sentiments of King Shivaji Maharaj's followers.
In fact, Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik's demanded to arrest the stand-up comedian for her comments. However, Joshua on Friday apologized for her actions and even took her video down from the social media after Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh instructed Mumbai police and Cyber call to take action against her.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Deshmukh had posted saying, "I ve instructed CP Mumbai and IG Cyber to take legal action expeditiously ..I urge everyone to maintain calm and law will take its course."
Soon, both the parties settled the heated matter, but Mishra lost his calm and have threats of raping the comedian. His highly hate-filled and profane video came to light when celebs like Kunal Kamra and Swara Bhaskar condemned the act and requested National Commission for Women to intervene in the matter.
National Commission For Women Promises Ation Against Shubham Mishra
Actor Swara took to the Twitter condemning the video of Shubham Mishra. The acrtor said: This man belongs in jail! He is openly threatening to rape a young woman, and is inciting other men to do the same.. what exactly are we waiting for ?????
Not just Swara, but comedian Kunal Kamra also condemned Mishra's video saying: Dear NCWIndia, does this concern you, we see this scumbag give open threats to a female comedian who has already apologised & taken her objectionable video down.
Upon acknowledging the matter, the National Commission for Women has promised to take a strict action against Shubham Mishra. NCW took to its official Twitter handle and said: Keeping in line with #NCW's commitment towards ensuring safety of #women online, our Chairperson @sharmarekha has written to @dgpgujarat for taking immediate action against Shubham Mishra, the man hurling abuses against a female comedian in this video.
