New Delhi: Veteran Telugu actor, Krishna passed away this early morning, reported ABP Desam. Krishna was admitted in Continental Hospital in Hyderabad after suffering a  cardiac arrest early morning on Monday. Today, doctors declared that the actor breathed his last.

Krishna had an illustrious career, acting in over 300 movies and was father of leading Telugu Actor Mahesh Babu.

The actor was undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit and was on a ventilator, doctors said. He was reportedly brought to Continental Hospital in Gachibowli around 2 a.m. on Monday in an unconscious state. A team of doctors including cardiologists and critical care specialists were keeping a close watch on his condition. The doctors made it clear that they can't say anything about the outcome for next 24 hours or 48 hours.

A video clip of a doctor sharing an update about Krishna’s health condition earlier surfaced on social media. In the clip, the doctor stated, “the cardiologists immediately performed CPR and in 20 minutes he was brought out of cardiac arrest.”

The veteran actor, whose full name was Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, turned 79 in May this year. The superstar of yesteryears was reported to be depressed since the death of his wife Indira Devi in September. She had been suffering from a prolonged illness. The CM said that the death of Krishna, who acted in more than 350 films and left an indelible mark on the hearts of moviegoers, is a huge loss for the Telugu film industry. Apart from various family drama films, Krishna was popular as an actor in social films that create social consciousness among the people.
