New Delhi: Popular TV actress Mouni Roy made her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gold’. She is being praised for her role as Akshay’s Bengali wife. But do you know that not just Mouni Roy but there is one more TV actress who made her Bollywood debut with Gold?
It is none other than Nikita Dutta who is known for her TV show ‘Ek Duje Ke Vaaste’. Nikita is seen portraying the role of an innocent Punjabi girl. She is the romantic interest to Sunny Kaushal's character, Himmat Singh. Nikita plays an innocent Punjabi girl in Gold.
Talking about working in Gold,Nikita told Pinkvilla, “I had got a call from the casting director and had to go through two rounds of the audition for the role. It feels great pleasure and honour to be associated with a film like Gold. I have always believed in meaningful cinema and this movie was one such opportunity.”
Talking about director Reema Kagti, Nikita said, “It was an amazing experience. Reema understands each one well enough and tries to push us beyond our usual which is a great thing. During that time I was juggling between my TV show Haasil and Gold and Reema made me pull it off easily,"
Gold is sports drama that takes the audience back in time to witness a team's struggle to make the nation proud.
