New Delhi: TV actress Tunisha Sharma, who played Shehzaadi Mariam in 'Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul', allegedly died by suicide on Saturday, December 24. In the latest development, police have arrested her co-star from the show Sheejan Mohammad Khan by registering a case of abetment to suicide. Police registered a case under section 306 of IPC. The actor will be produced in court today. 


Tunisha’s mother had registered a complaint against the actor for alleged abetment. 


 




"Tunisha Sharma, who was working on the sets of Alibaba Dastaan E Kabul has died by suicide. She hanged herself. Her mother has filed a complaint against Sheezan (Khan) for abetment to suicide. Sheezan Mohd who worked with her in the show as Alibaba. (There were reports that she was pregnant.) There is no report on this,” Times of India quoted ACP Chandrakanth Jadhav as saying. 


Tunisha was found hanging to a fan in one of the makeup rooms on the set of her show. She was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared that she was no more. She was 20 years old. 


According to India Today report, she was in Sheezan Mohammed Khan’s make-up room. When Sheezan returned after his shot, he found the room locked. When despite repeated calls Tunisha did not open the door, it was then broken open and Tunisha was rushed to the hospital.   


Tunisha started her career with 'Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap' and later featured in shows such as 'Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat', 'Gabbar Poonchwala', 'Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh', 'Internet Wala Love' and 'Ishq Subhan Allah'. 
 
The young actress had featured in films like 'Fitoor', 'Baar Baar Dekho', 'Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh', and 'Dabangg 3'. She has also appeared in several music videos, notably 'Pyaar Ho Jaayega', 'Nainon Ka Ye Rona' and 'Tu Baithe Mere Samne'. 


The actor’s last post was shared hours before her death. She has posted her picture with caption, "Those who are driven by their passion doesnt stop."
