New Delhi: Sony SAB’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ has managed to win the hearts of the viewers with its rib-tickling episodes. The popular sitcom, which stars Dilip Joshi in a lead role, completed 12 successful years last month. Ardent fans of the show are quite happy to see their favourite characters on the small screen after three-and-a-half months of lockdown. The makers of the show have started airing fresh episodes from July 22. ‘TMKOC’ beat the likes of ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ to top the TRP charts last week.

Gossip mills are buzzing with the rumours that Disha Vakani aka our very own Dayaben would make a return to the show for a Raksha Bandhan special episode.

According to a report in an entertainment portal, Disha might be seen in the upcoming Raksha Bandhan episode of ‘Taarak Mehta’. The makers and the actress are yet to confirm the rumours.

Disha’s brother Mayur Vakuni, who also plays her on-screen brother Sundar in the show, has returned from Ahmedabad to commence shoot. It would be interesting to see if Disha makes a comeback to the show or not.

The actress, who is on a maternity break, has been missing from the show since September 2017. Her catchphrase ‘Hey, Maa, Maatji!’  is quite popular among the viewers.

One of the fan clubs of Disha Vakani started a laughter riot on social media after it shared a picture from the show on Instagram. Babita (Munmun Dutta) can be seen tying a rakhi on Jethalal's (Dilip Joshi) hand in the throwback picture. The photo went viral on the internet in no time.
