Sushant Singh Rajput Suicide: 'Shocked & Numbed'- Mouni Roy, Surbhi Jyoti, Mahhi Vij & Other TV Celebs Express Grief

Mouni Roy, Surbhi Jyoti, Mahhi Vij, Gurmeet Chaudhary and other television celebs took to social media to mourn Sushant Singh Rajput's death.

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, known for his power-packed performances, committed suicide on Sunday morning (June 14) at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The actor became a household name after playing the role of Manav opposite Ankita Lokhande in Zee TV’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’. Sushant was found hanging at his home and it was his domestic help, who alerted the Police. Ekta Kapoor, Mahhi Vij, Jay Bhanushali, Hina Khan, Divyanka Tripathi and other TV celebs took to social media to mourn his death. Everyone wondered why a talented actor like Sushant Singh Rajput had to take such a drastic step. Ekta Kapoor, producer of ‘Pavitra Rishta, wrote,"Not fair sushi ! One week everything changed ! Not fair my baby!" The TV Czarina shared a screenshot of their conversation on Instagram when she shared a post on 11th anniversary of 'Pavitra Rishta'.

Gurmeet Chaudhary tweeted,"So much to say. But to sum it up you inspired so many of us brother. You paved the path. But why would you do this. Shocked and no I cannot believe. Rest in peace wherever you are. #SushantSingh ."

Shoaib Ibrahim wrote, "#SushantSinghRajput D name who ws set as an example for the tv industry!Who hd ever thought der would be so much greif depression deep within We all have different turmoils to deal in life.but pls pls stay strong evryone.der is always a new day waiting! Gone too soon  R.I.P."

'Balika Vadhu' actress Mahhi Vij shared a throwback picture with Sushant on Twitter.

"This is not done.  I’m shocked. I’m numbed. I’m disturbed #sushantsinghrajput #rip," 'Naagin 3' actress wrote on the micro-blogging site.

'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' actress Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya wrote, "I wish this was not true. May you rest in peace Sushant."

Mouni Roy tweeted, "Shocked beyond belief.. Rip Sushant."

On the professional front, Sushant was last seen in 'Drive' opposite Jacqueline Fernandez. The film released on Netflix after a long delay. We extend our deepest condolences to Sushant Singh Rajput’s family.
