Sidharth Sagar BREAKS DOWN at a Press Conference REVEALING IT ALL! Was in a rehab centre due to addiction!
The ace comedian who entertained audience thoroughly with shows like 'Comedy Circus', 'Comedy Classes' and then Kapil Sharma's hit show 'The Kapil Sharma Show' with his 'Selfie Mausi' and 'Naseer' avatars has been in headlines for since last week after his panicking friend Somi Saxena put out a facebook post looking out for her "missing" friend.
Sidharth then posted a video saying that his parents were causing him trouble and 2-3 days later he posted another video yesterday announcing he's holding a press conference to tell all that's happening with him in his life.
Sidharth finally did talk to media in a pc on Sunday and made some shocking revelations about himself. Sidharth began with talking about how he did some comedy shows at a young age of 13-14 even before he entered 'Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe'. He said he took a break after that and went back to his hometown Delhi where he took up spiritiuality and did meditation and was a regular visitor to a Guruji for about two years. After his Guruji suggested, he got back to work in Mumbai and joined 'Comedy Circus' in 2012 and went on to win many shows alongside popular comedy-duo Sudesh Lehri and Krushna Abhishek. Also did 'Comedy Circus Ke Mahabali'. His parents were against him believing he would take sanyaas one day. In due time when the show 'Comedy Classes' in which he played 'Mausi' was had just begun, he says he started to feel uneasy and that's when his parents revealed to him that they've been mixing drugs/medicines in his for bipolar disorder. He says he was slurring during shoots and to beat that he would take coffee-shots before entering the show sets. Mujhe zabardasti bataya gaya ki mujhe bipolar disease hai jisme extreme mood swings hote hain par mujhe aisa nahi hota. Mai hamesh khush rehta haun, mera low phase aaya hi nahi kabhi!" And whenever i would leave those medicines, i would go in a low phase. He also revealed that his mother and father have been living separately for many years. His mother is a single parent and he said if he wouldn't understand his mother, who would! Looking after me and my pets at home, she used to just handle the house. My best friend was my Mom. I never imagined things would turn this bad! I did not have much of a social circle. I would leave my friends midway just to get back home to my Mom. Then she got into a relationship and i had no issues. That man used to visit home and i accepted that man in our lives. He then talked about financial issues. I never inquired about money to my mother. I would sign a blank cheque for him. I found my Mom a little disturbed in a while. There were some investments made in property but slowly we became financially weak. I asked her where the money has gone! The man vanished with a huge amount earned by selling a Delhi plot, which i was unaware of! I had to leave my meditation and this was an altogether different life i was forced to lead. I met another man at home once and i told him not to emotionally hurt her. He had been around for 1-1 and a half year. I want a committed relationship for her now. I am from a middle class family with earning of about 40,000 per month. Both my parents were artists and they would paint. Since the age of 13-14 i was planning life. I also started a restaurant. Then this man forced me to leave the house in the middle of one night. But my Mom told me not to question anything. I have even slept in a car. I then moved out and told them to not interfere with my life anymore. Then i went back home again. I told them if they want to stay together, they may. I still had cordial relationship with them. But gradually finances became a problem and everything was spent off. I did not want to disclose my issues to anyone. I got so lonely that i resorted to substance abuse. I got addicted badly. Someone had suggested to use this substance to get over stress. I got mentally disturbed after that. I told Mom that i want to get out of this addiction. Then i was sent to a rehabilitation centre in Mumbai. Got treatment done for 3-4 days. When i told them now i want to meet my mother, they bashed me up. 3-4 people together would beat me. Banged my head at the wall. I lost consciousness. They would beat me for 3 days straight, with whatever they could lay hands on, even i would bleed. Then i got connected to my manager and i was taken out from there after a month. [At this point Sidharth breaks down into tears] Today i am really shattered. When i got out of the rehab[breaks down again]. When i get out i see that man yet again! All our property was sold out but i told Mom that we would build it all again. There was an event by Zee for which i travelled straight from rehab to the venue and post finishing it, got back to the rehab. Because my Mom was in need of money. Again i did an event while staying at rehab. And then i meet this man, his name is Suyash Gadgil. We were then staying at a bungalow and Suyash yet again threw me out of the house. I took my car and a week was spent in depression. I tried to contact my Swamiji in Delhi who was then in a samadhi. I was planning to get 'Comedy Classes' season 2 back on TV then. I would like to also inform the people involved with that since they must still be wondering where i vanished. My mom had then arranged 30-40k which i said would not be enough. But they (Mom and Suyash) would send money in small amounts and also send pictures of transactions clicked. These activities looked suspicious to me since for two months they hadn't contacted me. If you remember, i was super active in the months right before December 2017, this was the time i was trying to re-start my life despite all the earlier traumas. And then they told me that they want a car, money for a car! I handed them over my own car. But they did not give me the money. The man who was dealing, spoke to my Mom over phone, sitting right infront of me and she told him to pay far less amount to me. Then Sidharth reveals how he was sent to a mental asylum. He tells that he was going to Inorbit mall for a property issue but the 4-5 men who came to talk actually forcefully put him in a car and drove him to a mental asylum.. mental hospital. This happened in the November end or December, 2017 first week. There they put me on bipolar medicine yet again. The place was such that a man who was lying in the bed beside me spoke to me nicely a day earlier but was seen with dripping mouth the next day since he was given Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). I am a creative man but i was disturbed. I tried to escape too. I was told my mother is here for my discharge. My mother started to scream at me the moment she spotted me. The man was also with him. I asked the man "tu hai kaun? tu kaise chilla sakta hai?". There was another pick up planned for me. I was badly scared. For property papers, cars, money.. they troubled me hugely. I was going crazy. My mother is behaving very vague right now. He was then shifted to another rehab that was run by the man sitting beside him at this PC. At this point Sidharth introduced everyone to the man. He is Bashir Qureshi Sir who runs a foundation called 'Aasha Ki Kiran'. Miraj, who was sitting on the other side of him at PC. These people helped him. Bashir then starts to narrate Sidharth's story. He told media that Sidharth's case came to him in December end and he was told that Sidharth is a mentally disturbed boy. He had broked AC at home[Sidharth confesses saying "haan toda tha!"] It's my job to help everyone. Then I googled Sidharth's name and found out he was a comedian and infact he's been my favorite. I spoke to the counselor. When i spoke to Sidharth, i found him normal whereas i was told he is bi-polar. I consulted doctors and counselor but they told me that the medicine he's been taking are causing problems. We stopped all drugs and he got normal. Out whole team worked on the matter. And i finally helped him. Sidharth then also reveals that he filed an NC in a police station because now that he's coming back with shows he should be caused any trouble by them. He said if he disappears again there are only three people who should be held responsible for this, his mother, Suyyash Gadgil and his father Shirish Kumar. He filed NC at Goregaon West police station naming Inspector Patil. He did not even want his mother to come to police station but did it for his safety. I think my Mom is disturbed and i would want to get her counselling done. I can still not leave her but i can't stay with her. My managers are good, my fans love me. I just want peace now. I just want legal advice now. Today the situation is such that i did meet my mother just 3 days ago and the man Suyash yet again picked up a fight with me. Things haven't yet changed and i feel my mother needs counselling. Media then confronted Sidharth over his mother's claims she made in her defense. Sidharth explained how his Mom had alleged that he owed money to a man named Parikshit, but on calling the person he denied it. When many fans in the media sitting there asked Sidharth to promise to not go back in the same situation, he in the last clarified he's been clean of drugs for more than a year now but wants to stay connected with Asha Ki Kiran and plans to soon make a comeback.
