Shweta Tiwari OPENS Up On Troubled Marriage With Abhinav Kohli; Says Daughter Took Care Of Her Like A Mother

Kasautii Zindagii Kay actress Shweta Tiwari said that it is easier for the people to blame the women in a broken marriage.

New Delhi: Popular TV actress Shweta Tiwari, who is fondly known for her role of Prerna in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’, shocked her fans when she announced her separation from hubby Abhinav Kohli. The beautiful actress had accused Abhinav of domestic violence and filed a FIR against him few months back. Shweta received a lot of flak as several people blamed for having a troubled marriage again. For the uninitiated, the ‘Bigg Boss 4’ winner was earlier married to Raja Choudhary, with whom she has a daughter. Shweta went through a similar bad marriage with Raja and she had accused him of domestic violence. The actress filed for divorce in 2007 after nine years of marriage. She said that it easier for the people to blame the woman for a failed marriage. “It’s easy for people to say, ‘Ladki ne hi kuch kiya hoga ya usme hi koi problem hogi, tabhi doosri shaadi bhi nahi chal payi’. When I got married at the peak of my career, people told me that it’s over for me. But I didn’t let people’s opinion penetrate my mind. I didn’t even care what my khandaan will say, who only asked me how I was doing once in five years. I just care about myself, my kids and my immediate family,” Shweta told Hindustan Times.
