Television actress Rashami Desai, known for her roles in shows like 'Uttaran' and 'Dil Se Dil Tak', recently shared the details of a challenging period in her life during a candid conversation on Paras Chhabra's podcast. Rashami opened up about various aspects of her life, including her failed relationships, and her battle with anxiety and psoriasis.
Rashami on the "worst eight months" of her life
Reflecting on what she described as the "worst phase of her life," Rashami recounted, “There was a phase when I had psoriasis, my hair started falling, I gained weight, and during that time, many changes came into my life. I wasn't looking good. My profession is all about looking good, and that completely deteriorated. I couldn't go out in the sun, couldn't sit without AC. Those 8 months from July 2018 to March 2019 were the worst to recover from, and after that, I started working on myself.”
Battling anxiety and depression after Bigg Boss 13
Paras, who appeared alongside Rashami on ‘Bigg Boss 13’, asked if she also experienced anxiety and depression after the reality show. Rashami, who has previously battled depression, responded, “I faced anxiety and depression, and I did meditation and worked out. I started doing yoga. Suryanamaskar and pranayam helped me a lot.”
Rashami on her failed relationships
Rashami was previously married to TV actor Nandish Sandhu, with their marriage ending in divorce after three years. She later dated Arhaan Khan, who was also a wild card contestant on Bigg Boss 13. During the show, host Salman Khan revealed that Arhaan was already married and had a child, a fact unknown to Rashami, leading to their breakup.
Discussing her relationship struggles, Rashami said, “Our marriage didn't work for both of us. There were complaints, but not to the extent that it was a problem. After that, I tried being in a relationship, but I have been struggling in this particular subject. Either it's not meant for me, or Mr. Perfect hasn't come yet. I feel that it's not possible for me to meet my partner in this lifetime. If someone comes, they should be a true companion, otherwise, I don't need anyone. I am not desperate to get married."
Rashami also spoke about the time when she was under a debt of Rs 3, 4 crore and was homeless for four days. Click here to read about it
