Asim Riaz was expelled from the reality show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 14' after a heated exchange with the show's host Rohit Shetty. It all started when Asim was not able to perform a stunt and then his fight with Abhishek Kumar further fuelled the situation, he also called other contestants “losers.” Following this he also had an argument with Rohit, who then expelled him from the show because of his behaviour. Actress Shilpa Shinde, also a participant in the show opened up about the entire episode and admitted that while Asim's behavior was out of line, she believed the other contestants provoked and bullied him, leading to his extreme reaction.
Shilpa Shinde says Asim Riaz was bullied
In a conversation with Times Now, the actor said, "Kuch bhi nahin hua tha. Aap ke sar paani chala jata hai. Down-to-earth hona chahiya. Ek banda ek taraf aur baki ek jhoondh hai, usko bhadkaya gaya as they knew his nature. Sablog success handle nahin kar pate. Sab log galat the, sab log sahi the. Maine use baar baar bola ki woh chup rahe, bahas na kare. (People should be humble. Asim was alone on one side, and others ganged up against him, provoking him. I kept urging him not to speak or argue with Rohit Shetty. They knew his nature and yet bullied him and instigated him. Everyone cannot handle success.)”
Shilpa says Asim was not aggressive
Shilpa believes labeling Asim as "aggressive" is unfair and that he should not have treated Khatron Ke Khiladi like the Bigg Boss house. She told Times Now, "Woh aggressive nahin tha, but he is talkative… he wanted to share his experience and the pain he has gone through. Usko zyada bolne ki aadat hai. Usko chup karana padta hai. Uske bolne ka andaaz galat ho sakata hai. (He was not an aggressive person. He is extremely talkative and doesn't know when to stop, which backfired.)”
'Asim shouldn't have treated the show as Bigg Boss'
Shilpa added, "Yeh Bigg Boss nahin hai.. aapki wahan dosti huyi toh uski respect karni chahiya. Isko kheencho mat rubber ki tarah, stunt wala show hai mooh se jhagda karne ki koi zarurat nahin hai. Tu-tu main main huyi. Jo Asim ke fans nahin hai unhone bhi notice kiya ki usko bully kiya, cheez ko daba sakate the. Sab milkar ek insaan par haawi hogaye. I was quiet and asked him to be quiet, too. Usne apne pair par kulhadi maari. (This is not Bigg Boss and if you have made friends on the show, respect the friendship. This issue shouldn’t have been stretched beyond a certain point. Khatron Ke Khiladi is a stunt-based show, and there was no need for verbal fights. Even those who are not his fans noticed that Asim was being bullied. I kept asking him to stay silent.)”
Asim shares a message on Instagram
Meanwhile, Asim shared a cryptic message on his Instagram Story. He shared an image featuring four dogs and a leopard. The text read, "Sometimes, trying to prove that you’re the best is an insult."
