Mumbai: Ekta Kapoor has successfully managed to entertain the viewers with different seasons of ‘Naagin’. The TV Czarina has established ‘Naagin’ as of the most popular franchises on the small screen. If gossip mills are to be believed, she is all set to launch a new season of the supernatural drama on Colors channel. 


Speculations were rife that Rubina Dilaik would play the female lead in ‘Naagin 6’. The actress, who recently recovered from COVID-19, is currently busy with her show ‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’.  


According to a report in SpotboyE, popular TV actress Niyati Fatnani has bright chances of bagging the lead role in ‘Naagin 6’. Yes, you read that right! 


The beautiful actress, who is fondly known for her role of Pia in Star Plus’ ‘Nazar’, was also considered for the last season of ‘Naagin’, the report in the portal said. It remains to be seen if she will be play the main lead in new season or not. 


‘Nazar’, which also starred Monalisa and Harsh Rajput, grabbed several eyeballs despite airing at a late night time slot.  


Niyati, who made her acting debut with ‘D4-Get Up and Dance’, also worked in ‘Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaagey’. She shot to fame after playing the role of a ‘Daivik’ in ‘Nazar’. 


Naagin 5’ starred Surbhi Chandna and Ssharad Malhotra in lead roles. The revenge saga, which was launched in August 2020, went off air in February 2021 due to low ratings. Hina Khan and Dheeraj Dhoopar were seen in cameo roles in the initial episodes of the show. 


Mouni Roy, Arjun Bijlani and Adaa Khan starrer ‘Naagin 1’ remains the most successful season in the history of ‘Naagin’ franchise. The third season featuring Surbhi Jyoti, Pearl V Puri and Anita Hassanandani also performed well on the TRP charts. 


TV Show Which Are Returning With New Seasons


The makers of 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi' and 'Balika Vadhu' are all set to launch new season of their respective shows. Last month, Colors channel introduced 'Sasural Simar Ka 2' to spice up its early evening programming.
