New Delhi: Television actress Surbhi Chandna, known for her roles in popular shows such as Naagin 5 and Ishqbaaz, excitedly announced her impending nuptials with long-time beau Karan Sharma in January. The couple, who first crossed paths in Mumbai in 2010, has shared a romantic journey spanning over 13 years. While the official wedding dates have not been disclosed, reports suggest that the ceremony is slated for March 2024 in the regal city of Jaipur. Surbhi has been now accused of asking for free clothes for her wedding.

A video has surfaced on Reddit featuring designer Ayush Kejriwal sharing his conversations with Surbhi's team. In the leaked messages, Surbhi's team inquired about obtaining outfits from Ayush on a social media credit basis. Unwilling to provide free attire, Ayush publicly called out the actress, asserting, "No thank you. Why should I give outfits for free for someone's wedding?! That's ridiculous." He added, "If she can afford a lavish wedding in a palace, she certainly can pay for her clothes."

According to the leaked messages, Surbhi Chandna's wedding festivities are scheduled for March 1 and 2, encompassing events like haldi, mehendi, engagement and sufi night, wedding ceremony, and reception. The public revelation of these exchanges has led to criticism from fans, with one expressing, "She thinks she's a big actress whom brands would be falling over to sponsor."

Another pointed out the two-way street nature of such arrangements, saying, "While I think it is a 2-way street, as many designers also sponsor for free so that they can get the recognition. In Surbhi's case, she could have paid when she could afford a lavish destination wedding." The commenter acknowledged that Ayush's concerns could have been expressed more professionally but noted the truth in his final remark: "They get the outfits for free, and someone who wants to replicate that will pay for it."

Surbhi and her team are yet to give any statement regarding the allegation.
