New Delhi: Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Naagin 5’ has managed to keep the viewers hooked on to their TV sets with its drama-packed episodes. The supernatural saga starred Hina Khan, Dheeraj Dhoopar and Mohit Malhotra in cameo roles. The fifth installment of the ‘Naagin’ series has received a good response from the viewers. The show has secured the number three spot in the latest set of BARC TRP ratings.

‘Naagin 5’ recently witnessed the entries of Surbhi Chandna, Mohit Sehgal and Sharad Malhotra. Fans are eagerly waiting to see Surbhi in the avatar of shape shifting creature. And guess what? Their wait is over as Ekta Kapoor has shared the first look of Surbhi Chanda as ‘naagin’ on social media.

The TV Czarina took to her Instagram handle to reveal Surbhi aka Bani’s look as ‘naagin’. She wrote, “Reveal of new Naagin...Punarjanam. Aa rahi hai apne pyaar aur revenge ke liye!! @officialsurbhic #naagin5.”

Surbhi, who was last seen in ‘Sanjivani 2’, looked stunning in a red outfit and heavy jewelry. She sported wavy hair and sizzled in her ‘naagin’ look.

Hina Khan, Surbhi Chandna and other TV celebs dropped comments on the post. Hina wrote, "Yyayyyyyyy congratulations," while Surbhi commented, "Love to you EK."

"Fireeeee!!! All the best @ektarkapoor and my darling @officialsurbhic ! Am sure you going to ‘scale’ new heights," Rohit Roy commented on the post.

Hina Khan played the role of a powerful naagin, who lost her lover at hands of a shape-shifting kite-man, played by Dheeraj Dhoopar. Surbhi Chanda will take over the show as the female lead and her character will avenge her lover’s death.

The last season of the show did a good job in terms of TRPs but couldn’t replicate the success of ‘Naagin 1’ and ‘Naagin 3’. ‘Naagin 4’ starred Nia Sharma, Vijayendra Kumeria, Rashami Desai, Anita Hassanandani and Jasmin Bhasin. The fourth season premiered in December 2019.
