New Delhi: Television actor Gaurav Chopra is popularly known for portraying the character of Raghuvendra Pratap Rathore in the drama series ‘Uttaran’. He also appeared as a contestant in Salman Khan’s show ‘Bigg Boss 10’ and acted in the Oscar-nominated Hollywood movie ‘Blood Diamond’. Gaurav was last seen in ‘Sanjivani 2’ illustrating the character of Navratan Singh. Recently, the actor took to his Twitter and shared the news of his mother succumbing to cancer on August 19 following a three-year-long battle with it.

The ‘Uttaran’ actor took to his social media and penned down heartfelt note for his mother revealing how string she was to fight this deadly disease for three-long years. His tweet read, “My mommy strongest !! The first picture is from a year ago. Three years of cancer fighting of the worst kind ,three years of non stop chemo: and she was bucking us up ! Always the brightest spot of energy in the room . Always. The beauty that did not need any kind of accentuation. It stood out .loved by all. To the point of seeming like her fans. . . Inspired so many..as a teacher, as a principal,as a colleague ,as a friend ,as a human being pursuing spiritual growth over everything else.. I can go on and on .about a million things..she introduced me to everything in life ..my strength..my source..#MeriMaa was the strongest..She left us yesterday...In the other world she would be making everyone her fan ,I'm sure !”



Reportedly, the ‘Bigg Boss’ contestant earlier revealed that both his parents were fighting COVID-19 in different hospitals in Delhi and also urgently requested people to donate plasma for his father.
