New Delhi: Popular TV actress Shweta Tiwari, who is fondly known for playing the role of Prerna in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’, has confirmed that she tested positive for COVID-19. Gossip mills were buzzing with the rumours that the ‘Bigg Boss 4’ winner had tested positive; however, Shweta didn’t issue any statement.

The ‘Parvarish’ actress, while talking to an entertainment portal, has now confirmed that she has contracted Coronavirus. She said that she developed cough on September 16 and the makers of her current show asked her to get tested.

When asked how she is managing, Shweta told ETimes, “Well, thankfully I have sufficient rooms. So, I have quarantined myself. Palak (daughter) is also very particular about social distancing.”



The talented actress also revealed that she has sent her son Reyansh to his father Abhinav Kohli’s house. She is added that she had symptoms for the first three days but she is now feeling better. Shweta further said that she will have to quarantine herself till October 1. She will undergo her second COVID-19 test on September 27, the report suggested.



On the professional front, Shweta Tiwari is currently seen in Sony TV’s ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’ opposite Varun Badola. Varun’s wife Rajeshwari Sachdev recently tested positive for COVID-19. The actor’s first report came out as negative and he is now awaiting the results for his second test report.



‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai’ fame Disha Parmar has also tested positive for Coronavirus. She is currently observing home isolation. Her mother had contracted the virus around ten days back.

Several TV celebs including Parth Samthaan, Mohena Kumari Singh, Shrenu Parikh, Rajesh Kumar had tested positive for COVID-19. They have now fully recovered from the virus after undergoing treatment.
