New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau, which is investigating the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, has intensified its probe into the alleged Bollywood nexus with the drugs mafia. The drugs law enforcement agency had issued summons to Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash and Dhruv Chitgopekar, CEO of the Kwan talent management agency, for questioning. The agency officials grilled Dhruv in connection with the probe on Tuesday (September 22). Deepika’s manager Karisma has sought an exemption from the NCB probe on grounds of ill health and hence, she didn’t arrive for interrogation.

As per the latest buzz, Abigail Pande and Sanam Johar were also called for questioning. The officials are grilling the ‘Nach Baliye 8’ first runner-ups at the NCB guest house in Mumbai, a report in an entertainment portal said.

“Sanam and Abigail are being interrogated by NCB for the last two hours at their guest house in Colaba,” a source told SpotboyE. The couple will be seen together once again the spin-off of 'Tujhse Hai Raabta', which will beam on ZEE5.

Abigail had shared a picture with Sushant after his untimely demise on social media. She wrote, "People you love, never really leave you. Thank you for teaching me friendship sushu. Till we meet again."



The NCB also summoned producer Madhu Mantena Verma, who arrived for the interrogation on Wednesday. The agency quizzed Sushant's talent manager Jaya Saha for the third consecutive day in connection with the 'Dil Bechara' actor's death case. According to NCB sources, Jaya would be confronted with Madhu Mantena.

The hearing on the bail plea of  Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty will be held on Thursday (September 24) as the Bombay HC declared a holiday due to the heavy rains in Mumbai. Rhea, who is the main accused in Sushant's death case, had moved bail applications in the High Court in connection with the drug case related to the 'Raabta' actor's death. A special NDPS court had extended the judicial custody of the 'Jalebi' actress till October 6.

In her plea before the Bombay High Court, Rhea said that she has been subjected to a 'witch-hunt'.  She added that the NCB was "brought in to somehow implicate her and her family" after the CBI and the ED couldn't gather any evidence against her, a report in PTI said said.
