Meet the male lead of 'Diya Aur Baati Hum 2'

New Delhi: TV actor Avinesh Rekhi who rose to fame with his grey character in popular show 'Bharat Ka Veer Putra-Maharana Pratap' is all set make a comeback on small screens with 'Diya Aur Baati Hum 2' According to the reports, the actor has been roped in by the makers to play the lead role in the upcoming show. The actor himself confirmed the reports and said that he has been approached for the second season of the Star Plus show but nothing has been confirmed as yet. Entertainment portal Tellychakkar quoted a source saying, “The makers wanted an actor who was good looking and with a strong personality. Avinesh fitted the bill and the makers have reportedly signed the actor.” It had also been reported that popular MTV actress Niti Taylor gave the audition for the female lead role and looked perfect for the character of Sooraj (Anas Rashid) and Sandhya's  (Deepika Singh) daughter Khanak. The first edition of Diya Aur Baati Hum will end this week.
