New Delhi: Congratulations are in order for TV actress Shikha Singh and her pilot husband Karan Shah who became proud parents to a baby girl. The Kumkum Bhagya actress gave birth to her first child in a Mumbai hospital on June 16.
Shikha and Karan have named their bundle of joy Alayna Singh Shah, in-fact the actress also shared the first glimpse of her new-born revealing her name, check out below:


Shikha shared a picture of a cradle and thanked everyone for sending love to her daughter Alayna.

The couple who is on cloud nine ever since the arrival of their daughter had decided over her name during their trip to Maldives in February this year, and after that, throughout the pregnancy, they called their baby, ‘Al’, reveals Shikha while talking to BT.

When asked how she feels as a new mother, Shikha says, “The feeling is yet to sink in. I think the countless sleepless nights that we will face, will make me realise that I am a mom now!”


Talking about giving birth in the COVID-19 situation, she shares, “God has been kind as everything went smooth. The baby has arrived and we are both fine. The hospital is also taking very good care. They are meticulous and sanitising the area very well. But it is a different feeling to see everyone around in PPE kits. There are no visitors allowed. My husband Karan is staying with us and taking care of us."


Shikha is now eager to return home. “I can’t wait for my pet (Labrador) Goku to meet Alayna,” said the new mommy in her interview.

On a related note, Shikha Singh tied the knot with longtime boyfriend, Karan Shah, on May 1, 2016.
