New Delhi: We have some good news for all of you amid the Coronavirus lockdown. The much-loved reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is all set to return to the small screens. Yes, you read that right. Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently announced the new season of the quiz-based show. Interestingly, Big B shot for the promo of ‘KBC 12’ from his own place as shooting for the TV shows, films and ads has been halted. Amitabh Bachchan invited the viewers to register for ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 2020’, which is expected to air soon on Sony Entertainment Television. The ‘Badla’ actor said that one can put a break on many things but not on dreams. The ‘Shahenshah’ star gave a reference of the Coronavirus pandemic and made it clear that dreams can’t be affected due to the lockdown. Amitabh retweeted a video to announce the registrations of ‘KBC 2020’. He wrote, “ji .. its coming back to you again soon.” Sony TV had originally shared the promo along with the caption, “Har cheez ko break lag sakta hai par sapnon ko break nahee lag sakta hai. Aapke sapnon ko udaan dene phir aa rahe hain @Srbachchan lekar #KBC12. Registrations shuru honge 9 May raat 9 baje se sirf Sony TV par.” The registrations for ‘KBC 12’ will start from May 9, 2020 from 9pm. How to register for ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 2020’? Amitabh Bachcha will ask questions from May 9 to May 22 on Sony TV. The contestants, who wish to participate in ‘KBC’, will have to answer the questions correctly. They can answer through texts or SonyLIV app. "Hey! We wish to inform you that the KBC Season 12 registrations will start from 09th May 2020 from 2100 hours onwards, through SMS and App . Please stay tuned!," a tweet from Sony TV's official Twitter handle read. The audition process for ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati is divided into four parts. It begins with registration, followed by screening, online audition and a personal interview. The contestants, who complete the registration process, will get shortlisted through a computerized method. It will be followed by the online audition and personal interview round. (We will keep you updated regarding the same) The entire selection process will go digital in the new season. "We are certainly excited to announce the 12th season of our iconic show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'. And for the first time in the history of KBC, the entire screening and selection will be managed digitally," Amit Raisinghani, Head, business planning and communication, Sony Entertainment Television, said in a statement to IANS. ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, based on ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionare?’, has successfully aired eleven seasons.
