Popular TV actress Hina Khan remembered her late father on his birth anniversary on Sunday (August 8) by sharing a heartfelt post on social media. The ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ star decided to celebrate his birth anniversary by cutting a cake at her house. Hina called her mother her ‘source of inspiration and strength’ and said that she chose to celebrate her father’s birthday.

Khan got emotional while penning her thoughts on her official Instagram handle. She wrote, "Loss that is incomprehensible makes us feel bitter about life. But to be able to create our own silver lining takes depth, courage, strength and will. I have definitely got that from my mother.. I can’t imagine or know anyone stronger.. she chose to celebrate it and decided to cut the cake on His behalf. she’s both the source and inspiration for my strength."

Hina's mother broke down in tears while cutting the cake. The 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' star tried to cheer her up and asked her to eat the first bite of the cake.

Hina said that she wasn't sure about sharing the visuals of her sobbing mother on social media. She added, "At first I wasn’t sure about posting these visuals of a courageous yet sobbing mother who’s fighting it out for THE ONE she loved and the ones who love her. But just like we have to experience all possible human emotions.. I think to keep our social media presence as real as possible.. we must show the vulnerabilities.. the teary eyes, the sobs and grief."

The 'Naagin 5' actress requested her fans to keep her father in their prayers while sharing the post.

"Because we must accept us as a whole human being .. with all sides .. hopefully this will make us more tolerant to accept everyone else. And that I learned from my beloved Father. I humbly request everyone to keep him in your prayers. I will always love you dad. We will always love you. Happy Birthday Daddy cool," the 'Bigg Boss 11' contestant wrote.

Rubina Dilaik, Surbhi Jyoti, Rohan Mehra and other TV celebs dropped comments on the post. 'Bigg Boss 14' winner Rubina Dilaik wrote, "More power to you aunty" while Disha Parmar commented, "Lots of love to you and aunty."

On the professional front, Hina was recently seen in 'Lines', which premiered on VOOT Select. She recently announced her new music video titled 'Mohabbat Hai'. The Kashmiri beauty is working with Shaheer Sheikh once again post the success of 'Baarish Ban Jaana'.

Hina was shooting for 'Baarish Ban Jaana' when she received the news of her father's demise. She rushed to Mumbai after knowing about her father Aslam Khan, who passed away on April 20 due to a cardiac arrest.
