Erica Fernandes on playing Prerna in Kasautii Zindagii Kay: I am excited to be part of the show

Fans have not been not able to control their excitement ever since Ekta Kapoor unveiled Kasautii Zindagii Kay’s first promo on social media. The teaser of the show finally confirmed that ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’ fame actress Erica Fernandes is reprising the role of Prerna (originally played by Shweta Tiwari). ‘The iconic tune and the red duppata flying in the air’ have made the TV viewers nostalgic. Erica, who won millions of hearts as Sonakshi Bose in KRPKAB, expressed her excitement on being part of the show on Twitter. "And this gives me goosebumps! Fans have been eagerly waiting for Erica to return to the small screen and she did a choose a blockbuster project to make her comeback.

Speculations are rife that Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan’ actor Parth Samthaan will reprise the role of Cezzane Khan’s Anurag Basu in the reboot version. A report in a leading daily suggested that a promo with Parth will soon be released by the makers. “Ekta and the team had a tough time finding the perfect Anurag. A lot of actors were in contention but the rebooted show required a young face. After numerous look tests and auditions, the team finally zeroed on Parth. The actor was finalised last night and an official announcement will happen soon.
